Second Lady

Right in the E-Building Atrium, multiple stands and tables align. Most of them have representatives from many of LaGuardia's clubs like the Japanese club and the Straight Gay Alliance. Other stands are showcasing commercial items like the VENGO vending machine. A man appeared and led multiple students from my class including myself to the little theater. I was skeptical at first but it clearly had something to do with the HEADS UP program to get free community college education in America. All I'm worried about is missing the Second Lady's speech. Seeing as it is 11:06 and the speech was supposed to begin at 11, I'm assuming we were led away from Dr. Jill Biden. However, the presentation began and the Vice President of Laguardia Community College began speaking and opening for President Mellow. Rachel Chambers, a student here at LaGuardia Community College came to the stand explain to us the importance of heads up and welcomed Dr. Jill Biden. Biden disproves the myth that community college is somehow less than a four year. She named a few successful Americans that went to community college. Then Jean Chatzky of NBC came to follow up on what Dr. Jill Biden and promote her book, Money Rules.
